Plant care, diagnosed — not decorated
Houseplant Field Guide exists because most plant care content answers the question nobody asked. You don't need another list of "10 easy houseplants" when your actual monstera has brown edges right now. This site is built the other way around: start from the symptom, work back to the cause, and only then get into the general care basics.
How the guides are written
Each guide is drafted with AI assistance and then checked against multiple established horticultural sources before publishing. Care instructions — light, water, soil, timing — are cross-referenced rather than taken from a single source, and specific claims about toxicity, propagation, or plant-specific quirks are verified before they go live.
Photos
Where a photo shows a real plant, it's one we've grown or photographed ourselves — including the less flattering ones, like a leaf mid-problem, because that's usually the most useful photo on the page. Where a photo is illustrative rather than a documented case, the caption says so.
How this site makes money
Houseplant Field Guide is supported by display advertising. There are no sponsored placements and no brand partnerships — the plant recommendations here aren't for sale.
